Profile
In the past 20 years I have been working all over the world on more than 1000 productions as Lighting Cameraman/Director of Photography. My field of work contains drama-productions, commercials, music videos, documentairies and corporate image film shot on film, hd, hd-cam or sd-video. Most pleasure I find in working with actors in drama productions, with state of the art techniques and equipment in order to, as Lighting Cameraman/Director of Photography, tell the most beautiful story.
Personality
My colleagues describe me as creative, approachable and open-minded. I’m a driven person, supportive to directors and actors at work and I’m in the lucky possession of a good mood.
Working Experience and Education
After my secondary education I studied ‘Directing play’ at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Amsterdam for one year. From 1983 until 1987 I worked as Lighting Technician for S.K.V.E. in Eindhoven. From 1987 until 1990 I worked as Lighting Technician and Gaffer in a variety of corporate image films and commercials. From 1990 onwards I focussed on camera work.
In 1992 I esthablished my own company and have been working as an independent Lighting Cameraman and Director of Photography ever since. Former boardmember and still Active member of N.S.C (Netherlands Society of Cinematographers).
