Profile
In the past 30 years I have been working all over the world on more than 2000 productions as Director of Photography.
My field of work contains drama-productions, commercials, music videos, documentaries and corporate image film shot on film and digital Most pleasure I find in working with actors in drama productions, with state of the art techniques and equipment in order to, as Director of Photography, tell the most beautiful stories.
Personality
My colleagues describe me as creative, young of heart, approachable and open-minded. I’m a driven person, supportive to directors and actors at work and I am in the lucky possession of a good mood. Love to experience with new techniques.
Working Experience and Education
After my secondary education I studied ‘Directing play’ at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Amsterdam for one year. From 1983 until 1987 I worked as Lighting
Technician for S.K.V.E. in Eindhoven. From 1987 until 1992 I worked as Lighting Technician and Gaffer in a variety of commercials, corporate image films and from 1992 onwards I focussed on camera work.
In 2010 followed a workshop 3D in Los Angeles, by Geoff Boy
In 1992 I established my own company and have been working as an independent Lighting Cameraman and Director of Photography ever since. Former boardmember and still Active member of NSC (Netherlands Society of Cinematographers).
